How did Steamboat Springs Middle School perform on the SAR?
Dear Parents of SSMS students, The Colorado Department of Education recently released accountability report cards for every public school in Colorado. These ratings are based entirely on student performance on the Colorado Student Assessment Program(CSAP). Every student in Colorado is assessed in late March/early April of each school year. Steamboat Springs Middle School has a very proud tradition of excellent students and teachers. This was reinforced by the Colorado Department of Education. Steamboat Springs Middle School was recognized as a "School of Excellence." We are very excited to be given such an outstanding rating. Only 8 percent of all middle schools in the state of Colorado received an excellent rating. We were also honored as a John Irwin School of Excellence. This award is given to the top 8% of ALL schools in the state of Colorado.
