How did st. paul die?
St. Paul the convert, formerly known as Saul of Tarsus, the zelous jew who hated the Christians. Saul persecuted Christians arresting and murdering them as he went from city to city with his Roman prefect escort. On the road to Damascus, Jesus presented himself to him but in the process, to show his power, blinded Saul. The purpose was to show God’s forgiving nature because he sent a loyal follower, Ananais (sp?) to seek out Saul and restore his vision. Upon recieving his vision, Saul learned more about Christ the savior and then converted to Christianity and changed his name to Paul. He spent the rest of his days writing letters to the Romans, Jews, and Gentiles and traveling around spreading the good news of the Lord to anyone who would listen. The rains had set out to drown him, right from the start, but he fought a good fight.
