How did Sojourner Truth influence black rights?
Sojourner Truth was a strong black woman, born into slavery who fought for not only the rights of black people but of women and other minorities. She did so much I wouldn’t even like to start to list them. You can read a description of her on Wikipedia and you can get a lot of facts from this. I have copied out her best known speech below but there is so much more about this fabuluous woman to learn. The speech as shown here has been revised from the 19th century dialect in which Truth spoke. ” Well, children, where there is so much racket there must be something out of kilter.
