How did Shamineau Adventures get its start?
Shamineau Adventures began with the High Ropes Course in 1994. The Ropes Course was designed and built by Project Adventure; Shamineau staff assisted in the construction. Funding was provided by the state of Minnesota through the Pillager School System. The Low Ropes Course, a grouping of teambuilding initiatives, was also added in 1994. In 1995, an ice climbing tower was designed and built, which has now been developed into a 42 foot, six sided pinnacle. During the summer of 1999, the 32 foot indoor climbing wall was constructed. Shamineau Adventures has also been guiding climbing trips for several years both to local crags and out of state.
