In the First Punic War, Rome defeated Carthage by using the boats the Raven. The Raven helped the Romans win at sea, even though Carthage was the best at sea! This was because the Raven made the sea battle like a land battle which they were best at. The Romans won the third Punic War by putting Scipio in command of a big army. While Hannibal was charging through Europe, Scipio sent his army right into Africa because Carthage had no defense as most of the soldiers were with Hannibal. What was the result of the Punic Wars? All of Carthage was destroyed. None of the buildings were left, as they wanted Carthage to never come back. The Roman soldiers sold 50,000 of the Carthage citizens into slavery. The other 650,000 were all murdered. Carthage never came back again because all of the citizens were gone and the land could not be used ever again.
