Answer A number of different sources were consulted which included a local historian, Georgina Green, documents in the Jamaica Archive, street directories in the London Metropolitan Archives and slave owners compensation records in the British National Archives. Redbridge Local Studies and Archives also provided Baptismal records, maps and images. This exciting research unearthed new documents and history that was previously unknown to the borough.
