How did prehistoric man survive?
“Prehistoric” describes everything before history was written down. So it includes hunter-gatherers who foraged for whatever fruits, nuts and vegetables they could find and hunted animals for food and clothing (fur, leather). They lived in caves and built shelters from sticks, mud, leaves and even snow. They moved around a lot, going where the food was. But it also includes farmers and tradesmen who existed before written history. They made more permanent shelters, huts and so on, because they stayed near the fields where they grew their crops and tended domesticated anmals.
