How did Platos The Republic have an impact on the US government?
in the Republic, Plato talks about the perfect city. He believes that the perfect city is a place where every one is doing the things they are good at. He argues that it is the grown ups responsibility to find the talent of a child and make sure they work on it to make sure the child reaches his or her highest potential. As far as its impact on our government I think is the argument for the ruling society. Plato believes that rulers should be the chosen philosopher who basically have it in their blood to rule. He argues that we shouldn’t allow regular people to decide who the ruler should be but instead let philosophers decide who has the best gene to be a ruler or who was simply born to be a ruler.
