How did people stay on the Earth before Newton formulated the Law of Gravity?

Back then people wore really heavy sweaters because the earth was much cooler. Thank goodness for Newton – without his theory we’d all be floating away with the warmer global mean temperatures! I did mention that Newton’s so called “law” of gravity is still considered a theory, didn’t I? There are some scientists who may be unsure that gravity actually is happening. I can probably find someone to go on record saying that. Because science isn’t based on consensus… so just because 99.99% of scientists (paid by the interest groups of course) and people (using common sense of course) think gravity is happening doesn’t make it so.
