How did participants keep track of steps?
First, they calibrated their pedometers using the instructions provided in the Challenge packet or by referring to the pedometer instructions page of this website. Participants were instructed to put the pedometer on in the morning and remove it at night. At the end of each day, participants recorded steps for the day in their Make Health Your Choice journal provided in the Challenge packet. At the end of each Challenge week, participants were instructed to add up total steps for the seven days and record total weekly steps on this website. By logging in with their email address and password, they were routed immediately to their personal step recording page.
