How did New Zealand’s use of information communication technology (ICT) compare with other countries?

New Zealand is definitely an innovator with regards to using ICT in learning. Of all the countries I felt that New Zealand, Canada and the United States showcased the most innovative projects. However, to be fair it does come down to the fact that in New Zealand the vast majority of schools have the infrastructure in place to support innovative learning using ICT. A number of other countries still do not have enough hardware. We also have smaller class sizes, which may surprise some parents – it is a lot harder for a teacher with 60 children and access to one computer to have the same impact as a teacher with 20 children and access to 10 computers.
