How did Michael Jackson whiten his skin?
In all honesty, makeup. Michael Jackson has a skin disease called vitiligo. The disease attacks the melanocites (the pigment producing cells in our skin) creating porcelean white skin in patches. Now everyone argues that he doesn’t have the disease really because he doesn’t have patches and that his skin is evenly white, however he would not go out in public with white and brown patches on his skin. They have a makeup for people who suffer from vitiligo and it is a full body kind of makeup that evens out the skin tone to make it seem as though their skin is a universal color. Michael doesn’t leave his house without this makeup on. About 20% of his body is still dark, but the majority of his skin is white now and so if he were to use dark makeup almost his entire body would be covered in the makeup so instead he switched to white makeup so that he would be able to use less of it.
