How did Mark Stepro become the drummer for Red Wanting Blue?
A. During the end of the summer of 2003, the band held auditions for a new drummer after Jonah decided to leave the band. The band had previously heard about Stepros talents after he formed the Black Water Band while studying at the Capital University Conservatory of Music in Columbus, Ohio. Red Wanting Blues management got in contact with Stepro, who then auditioned for the part. After hearing the music, he admittedly fell in love with it. Scott Terry said about the addition of Mark Stepro: “Mark reinvigorates us. We have a re-established love for what we do. Mark is a classically-trained drummer who has studied for years, he gives us feedback and has tightened our sound.
