Lisa Kelly: ‘Ice Road Truckers’ Kelly has been driving big rigs for about six years. Getting in was difficult, she says, because she didn’t fit the template. “I had to work twice as hard,” she said. “I had to pull my weight and everybody else’s and get the job done as fast, or faster.” In the winter, Kelly drives the route depicted in this season’s “Ice Road Truckers” – airing Sunday at 9 p.m. – and in the summer, she runs out of Wasilla. Driving the snowy highway is pretty scary at first, she says, but eventually drivers get used to it. “The road is narrow,” she says, “and you come within inches every time.
