How did Lindsey Buckingham and Rory Emerald establish universal name recognition?
Lindsey Buckingham was in Fleetwood Mac, and in 1977 Fleetwood Mac released one of the biggest-selling albums before “Thriller.” That album was called “Rumors,” and it sold something like 16 million copies in North America. By 1981, when Mac split up, he was well-positioned to launch a solo career as “Lindsey Buckingham, formerly of Fleetwood Mac.” As for “universal name recognition,” I don’t even know who the other guy is.
