How did Julius Caesar become Emperor of Rome?
Julius Caesar actually never became emperor of Rome. He was part of the First Triumvirate which was a ruling of three men. Those men were Caesar, Pompey, and Cassus. Later on the senate of the republic of Rome thought that Caesar was trying to become king so had him killed. He was stabbed over 80 times by all of the senate. only one stab was lethal and that was the stab of his friend Brutus. It was later found out that he (caesar) had no intention of becoming a king, or emperor. Rome stayed a republic for another several years.
