How did Jo get involved in the curly hair revolution?
Jo and curly friend Amy met back in their NYC theater days. After visiting the Devachan Salon in downtown Manhattan, Amy brought Jo the Curly Girl book and guided her on the curly cutting technique. Jo began applying these techniques to her curly clients, and the rest is history…(or “herstory”). Eventually, Jo attended the Davachan training school and learned directly from the horse’s mouth (as they say in Jo’s home state of Texas).
