How did Jim Toland get nominated for a Pulitzer Prize?
Toland wrote an essay detailing current political problems and their historical implications in Northern Ireland and how an American president might successfully negotiate a peace treaty there. Most elements of Tolands model were eventually implemented by President Clinton during his administrations attempt at a peaceful solution.
