How did it feel to break the NCAA Tournament goal-scoring record?
“I wasn’t thinking about that at all. It didn’t even occur to me that I had broken the record until the game was over. Scoring the record goal just happened in the flow of the game. Breaking the record in a game we won makes it more memorable so I can enjoy it, thanks to Meredith (Frank). If we had lost, the record wouldn’t have meant anything to me.” #11 – Sr. Midfield Meredith Frank What happened on your game-winning goal? “Our coach is always telling us that we need to look for our opportunities. Right before the goal, I told myself I am gonna look for my opportunity because I don’t want to hear that speech again. I wasn’t looking to pass the ball. I was definitely looking to score on that play. I made a dodge, got open and hit the shot. I really wanted to score that goal. We knew that either way we were going to score or they were going to score and the team that didn’t score would be done for the year. I didn’t want to be the team that was done so I really wanted that goal.” Unive
