Whether it be through immigration, urban industries, technological advances, and industrialization. However, with all of this change came controversy and conflict. The first issue I would like to address is immigration. In the early 1920’s immigrants from mostly Europe and all around began to move to America in search of freedoms which were unavailable to their native homes. However, many middle class and lower class whites did not appreciate immigration. The immigrants were willing to work for less therefore many employers were willing to hire them.
