The Phase 1 Engineering Study for the proposed US 67 from the existing Jacksonville Bypass to US 136 at Macomb was started in October, 1995, and later received Design Approval in October, 2003. Now with the alignment determined through our standard public involvement processes, we are proposing to continue stakeholder involvement by having the public assist IDOT in determining the most feasible and pleasing bridge to compliment the surrounding area. This will also involve determining the proposed roadway landscaping and aesthetic features for the entire study area along the US 67 alignment, from east of the proposed IL Route 125 Interchange to west of the IL Route 100 / IL Route 103 Interchange, for a total length of approximately 3.7 miles. The construction cost of the project within the CSS Study limits is estimated to be between $150 M and $175 M.
