How did I get a “subluxation?”
Subluxations are caused by stress. Stress can be physical, chemical and even emotional. Physical stressors can be falls, impacts from sports, motor vehicle accidents and the process of being born to name a few. Chemical stress can be from pollution in the air (near land fills or factories), cosmetic (hair dyes, lotions, and topical medications), work environment solvents and even household cleaners. Emotional stress can be either negative or positive: loss of a loved one, divorce, marriage, birth of a new baby. These stressors have to be dealt with by the nerve system. Inability to adequately deal with these stressors can lead to a spinal subluxation.
