In April 2009 HSENI commissioned The Consumer Council to undertake a consultation on proposals for the future provision of a Registration Scheme for Gas Installers in Northern Ireland. Subsequently HSENI held discussions with HSE (GB) and agreed that there would be a significant advantage to both engineers and the public in a single UK wide registration scheme.
