How did Howard Carters discovery of King Tuts tomb impact archaeology, Hollywood movies, books, and society?
Well, some of his activities, and those of his patron Lord Carnarvon, certainly caused a cracking down on the supervision of archaeological activities within Egypt. It did not impact Archaeology per se. It impacted that body of knowledge regarding 18th dynasty burials of royal persons in Egypt, including, but not limited to, the dimensions and design of even a tomb of an insignificant and short-lived pharaoh.
