Answer Hi Adam, Adolf Hitler really began to take an interest in politics after his service as a soldier in WWI. Like many soldiers, he felt that the German business interests, run primarily by Jews, had sold out the German people and led to a disasterous surrender. The economic depression that followed the war convinced Hitler that the country needed a strong leader to bring the German people back to their deserved greatness. Initially, Hitler’s policies simply marginalized the Jews. They were stripped of their businesses and properties as well as most of their rights. Jews were then segregated into separate communities and eventually sent to labor camps. The Nazi’s believed that the Germans were a superior people – stronger, smarter, and superior to other people. Inter-breeding with other races would destroy the race by mixing in the worse traits of those lesser groups. Jews were considered the lowest and needed to be separated. Many expected the Jews would eventually have to be relo
