First of all it is important to remember that they controlled all the media outlets so any dissent was forced to come from underground opposition sources. All dissent was silenced! The nazi’s also appropriated imagery and art from the left as it seemed that the right lacked the imagination or creativity to make their own art. In a situation like this the only information that the majority of Germans had access to was the official state propaganda, especially as it became a crime for Germans to listen to foreign radio broadcasts. The act of burning books that the nazi regime deemed unsuitable for public consumption also denied the German population from reading any theoretical works that were at odds with fascist ideology!
