Oh sorry Frosty you are wrong. The hippies did so impact civil rights – they were living in mixed communes long before the civil rights marches. Hippies didn’t care what color you were they judged you on what you yourself did or did not do. Many of the so-called Hippies were very political and influenced alot of people to believe the way they did. Peace! that is what they wanted and what people still want today. If it were not for hippies your life would be so different than it is today. Men and women living together with no gender based roles. Women fixing cars while men made meals. All this led to changes in the whole spectrum of relationships. As well as the broader changes made by the civil rights and womens rights movements.
