How did Hadassahs Hope come about?
It started in the summer of 2005 when we were blessed to go with about 40 people from Saddleback Church and Empowering Kids to Kazakhstan to enrich the lives of orphans through a Vacation Bible School program and the installation of a large playground structure. God blessed that trip with changed lives, respect from the local officials and families coming home with the desire to adopt oversees. This summer, we will be taking about 50 people back to Kazakhstan. We will be ministering in two different locations. The first is in a baby home located in the women’s prison. In this prison, children from birth to three years old are forced to “do time” with their mothers. We are partnering with Phil and Carole Wagner of Set Free Prison Ministry, who have been working in this prison faithfully for over six years. Our goals for this trip are three fold; installation of an outdoor baby playground, furnishing toys and equipment for an indoor playroom and helping to provide cloth diapers and diape
