Im not familiar with this painting but i am with other pieces of his. Usually in perspective either one point or two point perspective lines converge. Think of when one looks down a railroad track, the tracks converge and then as they get closer together they disappear into each other. This is perspective, particularly one point perspective. In his work usually of isolated environments the building and roads all converge to pionts causing the roads, buildings, windows and other objects to shrink along the way. This shrinking is a characteristic of perspective. Think of standing in the middle of city road as things go further back they shrink and loose detail creating a sense of depth.
