How did George Washington and Thomas Jefferson???
It was mostly George Washington, if he wasn’t incharge, the country would fail. This whole ‘experiment’ as they called it was a complete success-at first. But after the war the Articals of Confederation that was drafted and accepted around the same time of the Declaration, was failing. The ‘federal’ goverment couldn’t collect taxes to pay for the huge hunk of money that the war burned up. So it was inevidable (as Virginian famer James Madison knew) that a new goverment should be drafted-and soon. The nation was in shambles, until Washington was elected president to help write the new constituion and such. We also owe a great deal to Alexander Hamilton for suggesting not a king (as to Washington’s liking) but a President, our Bill of Rights is due to the influence (more like whinning…) of Patric Henry, and the majority of the Consitution and what we know that happend there goes to James Madison who was writing his plan (Later known as the ‘Virginian Plan’) years before the convention!
