In 2002, Friends Reunited started offering a dating service, Online Personals, in conjunction with a third party. While the service was popular, the feedback from Friends Reunited members was that they wanted to make new friends in a trusted, comfortable and friendly environment, so the decision was made to set up its very own dating service and Friends Reunited Dating was launched in September 2003.
