How did Frank Sinatra help Joe Louis when he was broke?
Frank was a friend of Joes to the end. He helped him get spots on TV shows and appearances. He paid for his medical bills and helped with Max Schmelling paid for his funeral. It was said he talked to President Reagan to waive the requirements to get him buried in Arlington National Cemetery. It was never out of pity but out of a debt of gratitude.
