How did federation affect democracy in australia [kids homework[?
because all the states joined together, and were under the power of the Commonwealth and the Constitution, so its a more centralised power and it affected democracy because it was the constitution which specified that there would be a governemnt with a Prim Minster and Premiers etc and that there would be elections, because the Constitution was put into practice because of federation and its the consitution which states the importance of democracy in Australia.
