How did events in Dalian city effect the world?
It is hard to simply state historical events of such dramatic proportions. But the evolution and influence of Dalian is evident when considering the following: The tactics and strategic thinking for the attack on Pearl Harbor by the Japanese fleet came from the sneak attack on the Russian Fleet anchored at Port Arthur (Lushun) in 1904. The American Naval fleet was attacked to prevent America from stopping Japan’s expansion through Asia. This expansion began after the first Sino-Japanese War in 1894-95, and was later reinforced by the conquest of Manchuria. As the source responsible for expansion into China, The South Manchuria Railway was based in Dalian, which was the chief economic port and naval base in Manchuria.
