How did Europe lose a generation after World War l?

There was also a term called “The Lost Generation”, that was used during the 1920s. It didn’t mean that the people were lost, but that they felt lost. The World War was a long and terrible war. No one had every imagined war could be so destructive and cruel to so many people. It made them question everything they had previously believed – what was right or wrong, what was important in life, what would the future bring. That’s why, during the 1920’s, people saw such big changes in everyday life. The changes in clothes, music, literature, the movies, cars, and all the rules of behavior showed that people were starting out with a new set of rules. The old way was lost, and unless you wanted to be lost, too, you became part of the new modern world.
