How did Elizabeth the first become Queen?
Henry had three children, as you know. Edward became king first: from 1547 to 1553. Then, there was this big thing about Edward having declared Lady Jane Gray (The Nine Days’ Queen) Queen, there was this big revolt. That was not your question, so I will not explain that(if you want more, go here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lady_Jane_G… Anyways, so Mary became Queen, as that is what was in Henry’s will. Mary reigned from 1553- 1558. Then she died childless, like her brother, and Elizabeth became Queen, as once again that is what Henry had in his will.
