There are a few answers to how Edgar Allen Poe really died. It seems that his biography wasn’t written with the most accurate information. The two most popular stories are that he died of rabies and he died of drunken exposure. What is agreed on is that he was malnourished and he did suffer from some sort of exposure. The other theory is that he was a diabetic and died from hypoglycemia. We will never know exactly how he died.
