How did each region of the United States develop different economic and social systems?
1. Immigrants from different countries, cultures and traditions settled in patches at different places. 2. The varied weather made people choose the professions that best suited it. E.g. California is known for its good weather and hence agriculture. 3. The widely varied topograpghy and diverse land made people make progres accordingly. 4. The different regions were rich in different minerals and metals.
