How did Dizzy Gillespie get started in music?
Dizzy got his start in music, in several various areas. The earliest possible to this question would be when he was three or younger and his father was rehearsing his band. The Gillespie family had a piano in the house for most of the time that Dizzy was a kid. Then his first public performance would be during Miss Wilson’s Minstrel Show. His first personnal instrumnet would be the trombone followed by the Cornet and then the trumpet.
