How did CNO determine the level of coverage required?
In determining the levels of coverage that are set out in proposed By-Law No 1, Article 44.4, CNO reviewed and considered: • liability coverage required for nurses by other nursing regulators across Canada; • the liability coverage currently required by other regulated health professions in Ontario; and • the industry standards relating to acceptable liability coverage.
