How Did CMB Begin?
CMB Artist Services was formed over many years as grass-roots independent artists, producers and even country music fans looked for a method by which they could share ideas, talents and projects with the widest possible audience. Without the budgets of the big record labels and production houses, and often driven by idealism rather than commercialism, they found that the best answer lay in the pooling of resources and drawing on that special “something” that lies at the heart of true country life – community. As projects took off, artists achieved success and access to professional equipment and personnel grew, CMB never forgot it’s roots. And it’s own original promise to always support grass-roots country music initiatives. As the world of music changed with the advent of the digital age, especially the internet, CMB set out to provide a series of methods by which a greater variety of new artists could not only be heard, but seen.
