How did Church Marketing Solutions get started?
Church Marketing Solutions was started by a group of church planters from New Life Christian Church in Centreville, Virginia (near Washington D.C.). In 2000, New Life was extensively involved in direct mail marketing (over 200,000 cards per year). In preparing to double their mailings with the start of a new church campus in early 2001, New Life conducted a detailed review of their marketing process and found significant potential for cost savings. In that review, they discovered that they were unnecessarily spending thousands of dollars. New Life discovered that an understanding of the postal requirements and taking advantage of all the discounts available in the preparing of direct mail could result in a more effective process. Through an improved understanding of the postal requirements and the direct mail marketing process, New Life increased their mailings by over 50% for the same cost.
