How did Christopher Columbus find the Cocoa bean?
Interesting question, and it turns out that the culture of the cocoa bean has a long and interesting history. For the part about Columbus (who didn’t “discover” the cocoa bean any more than he “discovered” the Americas): 1502 – Columbus encountered a great Mayan trading canoe in Guanaja carrying cocoa beans as cargo.
