How did Christopher Columbus discover America…?
Well the story goes like this: The Europeans have already discovered how to get to Asia through the land rout which was very long. Like today where Oil is the thing which drives the world, at that time spice, purls and gems kind of thing drove the trade and had a huge demand but Europe did not have their own supplies and only Asia had this stuff. This was big money and the land root “The silk road” was too long and also cannot bring large quantities due to the fact the land root consisted on crossing mountains through narrow passages and crossing deserts and so on. So Columbus an explorer by nature had an idea that he could travel west straight from Europe [at this time oceans (which was called ocean sea at the time) west of Europe was not charted] and will be able to arrive in China and his initial estimate was that it would be around 3000 sea miles. Also at this time he was in jail and got permission from the king to do this journey. At this time Columbus or anyone else did not know
