How did Charming Tails get its start?
The line was first issued for Christmas 1992. It was originally called the Woodland Collection and was made up of 12 pieces. These 12 pieces were among the most successful ornaments of that Holiday season. The name Charming Tails was not used until 1994 when it became the official name of the line as we know it. Earlier, Dean Griff used to hand-painted Christmas ornaments for some friends. While attending a Christmas party, someone from Silvestri noticed the ornaments and asked him to submit some designs. Obviously they liked them because the result was the creation of the line we know and love today.
