HOW DID BULL BAITING AND PIT FIGHTING AFFECT THE BODY STRUCTURE OF PIT BULLS?

0

Pit Bulls evolved to become very good at the sports they were intended to do. They were bred to have impressively large strong jaw muscles, and short muscular necks to avoid breaks. Their heavy muscular bodies were effective for throwing their weight around, yet they remain very nimble and quick for their size. Terrier blood was added to increase their tenacity and endurance, and they also develloped an extremley high tollerance for pain. They were bred to have alot of loose skin, expecially around the face and neck to protect veins and arteries from damage, and their ears were traditionally cut very short to minimize any extra places an opposing dog could grab during a fight.
