How did batman die and what the story with the news batman?
Ikari did a great response, but, i will like to state that Batman has really died and no at the same time. Batman suffered something called the Omega Sanction, it is a power beam that was shot by Darkseid, in Final Crisis #6. Their effects are unclear, but the principal definition is that you will suffer consequent deaths, with each one being worse than the previous. So by any means, Batman is actually dead, there is a corpse also, but it is presumed that he has reincarnate in some form or in some alternative world. At this moment things are not clear, and with Grant morrison´s “Multidiversity” Project, things are less clear than ever.
