Anne’s diary affected the world because not only did it give an intimate glimpse of a Jewish family’s life in hiding during a time of turmoil, but it also showed what the human spirit can Indore in a time of crises. Anne still gives strength and hope to people through her writings. With the quote “In spite of everything, I still believe people are truly good at heart” she showed that people could retain faith in the people who are even trying to harm them and by doing so she spread the message of tolerance and forgiveness. It is imperative that before anyone begins to read the dairy they gain a sense of appreciation and understanding of how and why the Frank family went into hiding on July 6, 1942.
