How did Agent Aeolus come into being?
I want to be a writer, but I was confident I didn’t have the skills to pull off writing my really big project the way I wanted to. And I had so much emotional investment in this (as I had been working on it for years) that I knew I couldn’t tolerate a lesser treatment of the story. So instead, I just started writing whatever came to my head in an attempt to force myself to write – get the ball rolling, so to speak. I brainstormed the powers and character names first, filled in the personalities second, but let those personalities dominate the characters.
