How did Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and others before Moses observe the Torah if it wasn written yet?
YHWH personally spoke with people in various ways. He literally walked with Adam and Eve in the Garden (Genesis 3:8), and He somehow spoke with Cain and Abel who offered sin sacrifices (see all of Genesis 4) and he spoke with Noah in Genesis 9, and He personally spoke with Moses on Mt. Sinai (Exodus 19) and in the desert (see the Books of Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy) – and He even spoke through a donkey (Numbers 22). Those are just a few examples. Whether He spoke to them personally or through His prophets, people back then knew to DO His will; they heard and obeyed.
